Price adjustment effective July 1, 2026

This post is to inform you of an unfortunate, but necessary price change that we have to make. Effective 1 July 2026, we are adjusting prices across most of the DanubeData catalog. The change applies to both new orders and to the resources you already have on your account.

The wider IT sector has seen sustained, sharp cost increases over the past year. The components that go into our servers (DRAM, NAND, network silicon), the power that keeps them running, and the underlying dedicated infrastructure we lease in Falkenstein have all repriced upward. These pressures are affecting every infrastructure operator right now, and we have reached the point where we can no longer absorb them at our current prices without compromising the service you signed up for.

We have genuinely worked to hold our prices flat for as long as the hardware market would allow it. We exhausted the obvious efficiency levers: workload consolidation onto AMD Zen4 nodes, in-house tooling that replaced several third-party SaaS bills, and network rearchitecture that cut our transit costs. They bought us roughly eighteen months. On their own, they are no longer enough.

This adjustment funds the same SLAs, the same support response times, the same hardware standards, and the same data residency you have come to expect from us.

Even after the change, our plans remain competitive on price/performance with comparable European managed-cloud providers. You continue to run VPS, databases, caches, Storage Share, managed apps, serverless containers, and object storage on a single invoice, a single DPA, and a single Falkenstein-based stack, at per-tier prices that, on equivalent CPU/RAM/storage, still come in below most of the European market. The complete list of affected prices is below.

Affected products

VPS Instances

Shared and dedicated vCPU plans both move together. Shared plans remain at exactly half the dedicated price at every tier.

PlanShared: current → newDedicated: current → new
DD Litcov€4.49 → €5.49€8.99 → €10.99
DD Maliuc€7.49 → €9.49€14.99 → €18.99
DD Crișan€12.49 → €15.99€24.99 → €31.99
DD Caraorman€24.99 → €31.99€49.99 → €63.99
DD Dunavăț€49.99 → €64.99€99.99 → €129.99
DD PeripravaN/A€220.00 → €279.99

Alongside the price update, we are also refreshing the VPS lineup. A small number of plans will be retired and new plans will be introduced in the coming weeks to better match the workloads we actually see. Customers running a plan that is being retired will be contacted directly with migration options before any change is applied. No resource will be retired or migrated without explicit notice.

Cache Instances

Redis and Valkey share a base rate. Dragonfly retains its premium over Redis/Valkey to reflect the multi-threaded engine.

PlanRedis / Valkey: current → newDragonfly: current → new
DD Puiu€4.99 → €6.49€6.99 → €8.99
DD Roșu€9.99 → €12.99€14.99 → €18.99
DD Dranov€19.99 → €24.99€29.99 → €37.99
DD Razim€39.99 → €49.99€59.99 → €74.99

Database Instances

The same price ladder applies to MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB.

DD Uzlina€19.99 → €24.99
DD Mătița€39.99 → €49.99

Serverless Containers

Serverless usage is metered per-second across compute, memory, and requests. Unit rates are moving in line with the rest of the catalog. The free tier (2 million requests, ~69 vCPU-hours, ~139 GiB-hours of memory, and 5 GB egress per month) is unchanged.

ComponentCurrent → New
vCPU-hour€0.0432 → €0.054
Memory (GiB-hour)€0.0072 → €0.0090
Requests (per million)€0.12 → €0.15
Ephemeral storage€0.10 / GB-month → €0.12 / GB-month

Object Storage

ComponentCurrent → New
Monthly base (includes 1 TB storage + 1 TB egress)€3.99 → €5.49
Storage overage€3.85 / TB-month → €5.49 / TB-month
Egress overage€0.80 / TB → €1.00 / TB

Egress traffic (unified across products)

The egress overage rate is being unified to €1.00 per TB across all products. VPS and Serverless egress overage decrease; Object Storage egress overage increases. The 20 TB included egress per VPS and 1 TB included egress on Object Storage are unchanged.

SourceCurrent → New
VPS egress overage€1.21 / TB → €1.00 / TB
Object Storage egress overage€0.80 / TB → €1.00 / TB
Serverless egress overage€1.21 / TB → €1.00 / TB

Snapshot and backup storage

ComponentCurrent → New
Snapshot storage€0.04 / GB-month → €0.05 / GB-month
Restore egress (charged only on restore)€1.20 / TB (unchanged)

High-volume Object Storage customers

For customers storing 50 TB or more in Object Storage, the price adjustment materially changes the monthly bill. If this applies to you, please contact sales@danubedata.ro. We offer custom committed rates on 12-month terms below the new public rate.

Timeline

  • 17 May 2026: Announcement published. A notification with the per-resource impact is sent to every account.
  • 17 May 2026 to 30 June 2026: Notice period. Existing resources continue to bill at the current rates. New orders also bill at the current rates until 1 July 2026.
  • 1 July 2026: New prices take effect for all resources, both existing and new orders. No action is required from you to remain on your current resources.

The invoice issued on 1 August 2026 will be the first to bill at the new rates, covering the period 1 July to 31 July 2026.

If you need to scale down or move out

We know that price changes are never welcome, and we are sorry that this step has become necessary.

If the new prices do not work for you, you can cancel any resource at any time from your dashboard. Billing is pro-rated to the hour, so there is no notice period and no early-termination fee.

Thank you for trusting us with your workloads. We want to keep earning that trust at the new prices, too.

Contact

We hope you can understand the reasoning behind this decision. If you have any questions, please contact support@danubedata.ro or open a support ticket from your dashboard.

Kind regards,
The DanubeData team
