Migrate Your Redis or Dragonfly Cache to Our New Managed Operator
Move an existing standalone Redis or Dragonfly cache onto our newer, operator-managed backend yourself, right from the instance page.
What's changed
- Open the actions menu on an eligible cache instance and choose Migrate to managed operator
- Available today for standalone (non-replicated), running Redis and Dragonfly instances — Valkey support is on the way
- Track migration progress live on the instance page, from snapshot through cutover
- A short downtime window applies during cutover; your password and existing data carry over unchanged
- After cutover, you get a grace period to confirm you're happy or roll back — it auto-confirms if you don't act
- New Redis and Dragonfly caches are created on the managed operator by default now too
