MariaDB Gains Replicas, High Availability and Scheduled Backups
New MariaDB instances run on our managed operator, bringing read replicas, HA and scheduled physical backups to MariaDB.
What's changed
- MariaDB 11.6, 11.4 and 10.11 available on the managed operator
- Add read replicas and run MariaDB in a high-availability configuration
- Scheduled physical backups, with restore and fork-to-a-new-instance
- Root superuser credentials are shown on the instance page
- The MySQL/MariaDB deprecation notice is gone from the create page — both remain fully supported
