Custom Domains: CNAME Setup and One-Click www
Point a custom domain at a DanubeData hostname with a CNAME or ALIAS record instead of a raw IP address, and add the www companion in a single click.
What's changed
- Subdomains use a CNAME; root domains use an ALIAS or ANAME record
- Pointing at a hostname means your DNS keeps working when infrastructure moves — a pinned IP does not
- Adding a root domain now offers a one-click 'also add www' on Rapids, Static Sites and Managed Apps
- Clearer, record-type-specific DNS guidance on the add-domain form
- Fixed detection of domains still bound the old way, so the migration prompt is accurate
