Real Backup Times, Stuck Removals and Name Validation
Three corrections to what the database pages tell you and do.
What's changed
- Managed PostgreSQL and MariaDB instances now show the actual time of their nightly backup instead of a fixed 2:00 AM UTC that never applied to them
- A removal whose job died mid-flight, or whose deployment was already gone, no longer leaves the instance parked in a destroying state; it is completed or reported automatically
- Instance names are validated up front as lowercase labels that start with a letter and stay under 50 characters, in the create, edit, restore and clone forms and the API, so a name can no longer be accepted and then fail at deploy time
