Automatic Image Retention and Accurate Registry Usage
Keep only the images you can roll back to, and see how much space your repositories really use.
What's changed
- Set a keep-last-N retention per repository, with an account-wide default that every repository inherits unless it sets its own
- Retention is enforced on every push: older tags beyond the limit are removed, the tag you just pushed is always kept, and layers still referenced by a kept tag are never deleted
- Repository sizes now reflect the real content of multi-architecture images, which used to be counted at a few kilobytes each
- Deleting an image from the dashboard now reports a refused deletion instead of claiming success while the bytes stayed
- The retention editor states plainly whether a repository inherits the default, keeps a number of tags or is unlimited
